TYERTILAR
Kent, 22, 3 and a half
Personality Even before a concealed insanity took to his mind, Tyertilar was a very abrasive, harsh, and arrogant elf - a perfect Thalmor Justiciar, as he spent several years in the role before being promoted within the Dominion. Though he's always had fairly good control over his emotions, though, only being so difficult and mightier-than-thou because of his Aldmeri upbringing and praise-worthy talents. With the recent changes, though, Tyertilar has developed a considerable thirst for recognition, power, and domination. His previous composure still remains at times, but at others, he's prone to sweeping bouts of anger and violence that can be startling at best, devastating to whoever is around at worst. He's utterly convinced that none have a right to stand before him, and he wishes for all those who do believe they have that right to be cut down where they stand. It's unclear whether or not he is in a delusion, but he seems to have his facilities mostly intact. Only those who knew him before could sense the difference. On a more personal level, Tyertilar seems to recognize very little of his "allies" from before his mind was affected, though he never played particularly nice with others to begin with, instead stepping over most of them to further himself. This disregard for others has only increased with the other changes in him, and he now interacts with no one but his wife and daughter unless he absolutely has to by giving orders, taunting, or the like. Often, he can be found either alone with his wife (more passionate with her than ever before) or on his own completely, seemingly driven to acquire more and more knowledge or simply staring off into the distance and becoming very angry should anyone disturb him. For more...public appearances, though, he has taken to throwing grand dinners and living it high, as it were. Tyertilar may indeed be enjoying the power he's gained with his wife at his side, even if his solitary hours would say otherwise. History The son of an Aldmeri military officer of the Altmer homeland and his wife (fit for breeding), Tyertilar proved to be their only child, and thus, he received copious amounts of attention from both parents. His father ensured that the training of his early life saw him take the military path after him, so at a young age Tyertilar was placed in a grouping with other Altmer boys that amounted to Spartan training. Tyertilar received multiple years within this training system, seeing family at certain hours of the day, before the men his age began their regular schooling afterwards. After twenty-five years, his education as the pride of an Aldmeri champion came to an end, and he was given several options for entering the society of the Altmer. He chose first to serve as captain of an Aldmeri prince's guard, primarily for the prestige such a position afforded. He spent nearly two decades leading the elite guard of trainees who had been peers during his military training, but as time went on and the society of the Altmer continued to develop, Tyertilar began to see the position as one that held him back despite its prestige. Stepping down from the position, he moved on to other things in life. His next option became the military, as his father encouraged, and Tyertilar began a steady move up the ranks. In a time of peace, however, such a career would not suit him, either, as the military did not offer as much a chance to make his name further known. At best, his most noteworthy achievement during this time was a public statement against a motion his father made in support of shrinking the military. As it turned out, Tyertilar won the battle, and his father carried bitterness for the act. Knowing he did not wish to remain near to his father any longer than he had to, Tyertilar left the military and set his sites on a new path - that of becoming a representative of the Thalmor offices across Tamriel. He had seen enough of the Summerset Isles. Tyertilar found himself in Skyrim after specifically selecting his destination, a hotbed of constant activity due to the militant Nords that called it home. As the Thalmor encouraged that their agents be gifted in magic, Tyertilar chose to spend some time first as as student of the famous College of Winterhold in Skyrim and for a short time, once he had mastered the school of destruction magic, as something of a tutor to other Altmer arriving at the college as a means to further his abilities. Though not encouraged, Tyertilar became increasingly close to a younger Altmer, Naariko, when she arrived and he spent time studying with her. Carefully avoiding the college's scrutiny, the two engaged in numerous liaisons before it came time for Naariko to leave the college. Tyertilar did the same, though he would not remain in Skyrim. Political situations in Cyrodiil called him there to become a justiciar of the Thalmor. The ripples from the conflict that had won his father fame had begun to affect the world again, and he earned considerable recognition for capturing several fugitives. The Great Collapse in Winterhold brought Tyertilar back to Skyrim after several years, and it was there he reunited for a time with the young woman with whom he'd had relations at the college. Opting to join her at the Skyrim embassy, Tyertilar moved up the ranks to become an officer of the emissary and soon after decided to petition the Aldmeri Dominion for a marriage outside of the official tenets of their society. Needless to say, due to their fine track records, Tyertilar was allowed to marry Naariko after several years. Twenty five years Tyertilar remained an official in the Skyrim embassy, becoming the head patron of Skyrim's Thalmor, before the Great War began and thrust him into battle again. He gained great recognition for his stance a few decades before that led to the Altmer military holding onto its former strength that helped them in the war, while his father became shamed and seemingly disappeared during the midst of the war, possibly the prey of an assassin along with his mother. Tyertilar himself served at the front lines and earned several honors for his fearsome dueling abilities. He partially assisted, once the war was over, in assembling the military aspects of the White-Gold Concordant, before returning to his previous life. Despite the uneasy peace - as the Altmer defeat in Hammerfell, that Tyertilar refused to participate in, and Ulfric Stormcloak's attempt to take the Reach proved - Tyertilar managed to settle down somewhat and opted to have children with his wife, producing a son and daughter. The son proved to be a worthy example of why Altmer typically specifically bred with one another to produce worthwhile traits, and Tyertilar typically found himself too disgusted with the boy's habits to instruct him. Agreement with Naariko saw the boy turned over to Elenwen, First Emissary to Skyrim, for instruction. The daughter, however, proved to be a perfect and bright combination of the two, and they afforded her the chance to attend the college of Winterhold to follow the path of her mother as a mage. With the new war's beginning in Skyrim, Tyertilar and his wife were tasked with pursuit of possible dangers in the hands of the Stormcloaks. Hearing from their daughter about an item at the college that supposedly afforded her "greatness," Tyertilar and his wife spent several days inspecting the college together, only to have their minds slowly be affected and put the idea in their minds to take over Winterhold to rule as the king and queen of the once-great city. They have recently begun on this path. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-radius: 0px 0px 20px 20px;] Character Name. Tyertilar Age. 171 Race. Altmer Sexuality. Heterosexual Faction, Army, or Allegiance. Thalmor Occupation. Thalmor official; self-proclaimed king of Winterhold Werewolf or Vampire. N/A Major Skills. +Destruction: Having been trained as a warrior instead of a mage of the Altmer, Tyertilar has spent a great deal of time learning to become a fearsome force in his wielding of destruction magic. He's a master of shock spells and solid in frost and fire spells. He's the type to unleash one large, distracting spell that can leave foes jittery on the ground and using the intimidation from such fantastic effects to his great advantage in the heat of combat. +Conjuration: Though it's not a school he's extremely versed in like destruction, Tyertilar does have some skill in the reanimation and bound weapon portions of this school. He can raise the dead as much more fear-inducting purposes as for anything else, and he's often seen wielding a bound weapon, especially when his own, tangible weapon gets possibly knocked away from him. +Heavy Armor: Tyertilar prefers armor that can take a lot of damage as he stands at the front and delivers damage himself. He's trained to wear the armor without tiring or losing an excessive amount of movement when he wears it. +One-Handed: Tyertilar goes for the sword in one hand, magic in the other hand mentality in combat, and as such, he's learned to wield one-handed swords skillfully along with his destruction magic. He's not a particularly fast combatant, but he uses good leverage at all times. +Speech: As a higher-ranking Thalmor in Skyrim, Tyertilar has spent much of his life learning how to communicate well with all races. He's adept at all forms of speaking, too, whether he needs to get what he wants out of someone, give a rousing speech, negotiate, or so on. Weapons, Armor, and Belongings. +Steel Plate Armor: Tyertilar wears a set of this sturdy but nicely-fit armor at almost all times when he's not seen in a more Thalmor-like set of robes. The armor withstands almost any blade, but suffers against impact damage. He never wears a helmet with it. +Elven Sword of High Chaos: A sword that allows an impressive amount of damage in correlation with Tyertilar's destruction abilities, Tyertilar is rarely seen without it strapped to his belt. |
