XIMENA
Nzy, nineteen, 6+ years on and off
Personality-- A bit of a hot head, Ximena can be a little hard to befriend. She's much too stubborn and head strong for her own good, and lives by the "I don't need anybody" principle. Yes, she's a loner but most of the people in Skyrim are in the first place. Ximena is a very proud person that radiates with fighting spirit-- she won't go down without a fight, weather that be in battle matters or emotional matters. She's one smart cookie and is fairly good at manipulating people to do what she wants (that mainly being to leave her alone, just sayin'). Her head is always in a book ever since her father told her it was key in battle to know your enemy. You might nickname her index, she knows a lot of stuff and prides herself on knowing it. Her mind is very driven to understand all of life's mysteries, and that probably came from her mother, who was very much a book worm too. Despite how much Ximena may seem to hate company, she has a bit of a sense of humor and tends to crack jokes at the best and worst of times. She's a tad complicated, but hey, who isn't? History-- Let me tell you a tale of two very different people. Their names were Arie and Soren, and they couldn't have been more wrong for each other. Arie was the youngest daughter of two famous mages from Solitude. They owned one of the largest librarys in Skyrim where they taught all who wanted to learn the arcane arts. These mages only had two daughters, Satis being the eldest and Arie the youngest. The two girls were very different. Satis wanted nothing to do with magic and knowledge and busied her queenly head with the newest fashions from Radiant Raiment and what men wanted her hand in marriage. Arie was all about the arcane arts, and was gentle and sweet. She was the family's golden child and the sisters never got along. Soren was a born assassin from Hammerfell. Orphaned at a young age, he wasn't much of a people person. In fact he lived by never falling in love and always staying distant from people. He came to Skyrim simply wandering, living his life as a hired assassin. However he didn't expect to be recruited into the Dark Brotherhood the way he was. One night he was sleeping at the inn in Whiterun when some bard thief decided he would steal Soren's prized Daedric Dagger of Absorption. The Bard was a target of the Brotherhood-- though Soren didn't know that when he killed the bastard himself. As a result Soren found himself in an abandoned shack somewhere and the leader of the Dark Brotherhood was telling him to kill one of the three bonded people in the room. What better way to join the Brotherhood yes? Soren thrived in the Brotherhood, and one of his contracts brought him to Solitude where he met the lovely sisters Arie and Satis. It was strange that he felt so close to Arie immediately, as he never wanted to fall in love. But something about her gentle face and sweet smile drew him in. She was a pure flower and he was the cold wind that would kill her, but he decided he must have her. Little did he know, Satis was the sister that had her sights on him, though he was too busy trying to get Arie to love him. She wanted nothing more than her books and Satis was frustrated with Soren. She didn't understand how he would want Arie more than her. Arie nearly choked a Bard singing about love when she found that Arie had finally accepted Soren's affections. It killed Satis inside, and filled her with so much hatred and anger. She wanted to destroy them... and her chance came when she over heard Soren speaking with another member of the Brotherhood about leaving. Apparently he was planning on marrying Arie and decided he would not tell Arie about his alliance with the group. Satis smiled wickedly as she devised her life long plan to destroy her sister's family. She reached out to the Brotherhood, preforming their awful ritual and gave them a task to kill Arie and Soren. Of course the Brotherhood had to take the contract as Satis was offering quite a sum of money for the deed, however she had specifics that needed to be carried out. She wanted everything done in an order. Arie was to die first, but only after she gave birth to two children (as she often dreamed of). She also wanted no one in the Brotherhood to kill her accept Soren. So as Soren and Arie got married in Riften's Temple of Mara, Satis sat there confident and happy. Her true happiness would arrive soon enough. Soren and Arie settled down in Solitude, as Arie wanted to stay close to her family and hometown. They purchased a little home and it wasn't long before they gave birth to their first child-- a son they named Mithos. He was a bit of a bad apple, but he loved fight with his father and learn the way of the blade, as all redguard children did at young ages. Not long after, Soren and Arie gave birth to Ximena, who was their beautiful desert flower and took after her mother's gentle features and sweet smile. Both children learned the way of battle by their father and the arcane arts from their mother. Soren and Arie wanted no harm to come to their children. As time flew on, Ximena grew to know her family to be loving. She remembers days and days of Mithos being scolded for breaking in to peoples homes and stealing. She remembered long says of simply listening to her father talk about daggers and enchantments, her mother talking about potions and poisons. Where Mithos was once Soren's favorite son, he was replaced by Ximena when she became to close with her father. Around the time Ximena reached her 16th year, Mithos left the family and she hadn't seen him since. Rumor had it he was rolling with the Thieves Guild now. It bothered her only slightly, but under her father's teachings she knew not to get too close to people... even her family. Because even family could turn on you in an instant. That was when it began... The day of her 17th year, Ximena remembered a strange man coming to their home when her mother was at her grandparents house. Auntie Satis had called Arie over to go shopping with her or something-- she could never remember the reason. But the strange man never left her mind. he was dark haired with an animal look in his eyes that Ximena knew to be a killer. Ximena was the one to answer the door for him and he requested to see Soren. After he left, Ximena remember that her father was very sad... he wouldn't even speak to her the whole day. Even the night was quiet, she didn't remember hearing her father's snores that night. In the morning, Ximena woke to an empty house. Her father was no where to be found and her mother lay dead in her bed. Arie looked so peaceful, no dead but as if she were asleep. At first Ximena thought she was, until she noticed the pale features and the stillness. Her mother had been poisoned and now her father was missing. Her mind was spinning and she didn't know what to do. Should she tell Auntie? Her Grandparents? When Ximena found her father's Daedric Dagger on the dinner table placed on top of a piece of paper she knew that this was a matter would would have to uncover on her own. Ximena left her home with all her knives, a pack of food, her knowledge given to her by her crafty father and wise mother, and a note that read "Find the Dark Brotherhood, there you will find your answers. Be wise." | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-radius: 0px 0px 20px 20px;] Character Name. Ximena Age. seventeen Race. half redguard, half breton--- mainly redguard. Alchemy-- Her grandmother was a skilled alchemist that passed her knowledge to Ximena's mother, who then passed it onto her. However she wasn't one for making healing potions or the such, she was into poisons. They became her pride ever since her father showed her how to apply them to her daggers. There isn't a blade Ximena owns that doesn't get coated in liquid death before a fatality. One-Handed-- Redguards are very skilled warriors at heart. Her father had taught her in all the likes of weaponry but her warrior talents shinned when she was handed a dagger. Knives are Ximena's blades of choice as she is quickest with them and they prove most efficient as far as assassinations go. Her daggers are her best friends, right behind books. Sneak-- Another training skill she learned from her father. He always told her if she wanted to win any battle, she needed the element of surprise. She must be a shadow in the bushes-- never detected. She is light on her feet and is hardly ever heard when she is sneaking around. Her skill is also amplified by an Amulet of Mara that her father had enchanted with Sneak. Meant to be a protection piece for her when she was in trouble but it is now an item to execute a kill. Restoration-- With a mother that is Breton, Ximena's magic was just as powerful. However magic didn't exactly click with her. If anything the only lessons that stuck were her mother's knowledge of Restoration spells. Ximena is a skilled healer, and casting such healing spells take little from her. Any other magic however is extremely hard for her to even manifest. Enchanting-- A skill from her father. She's still working on fine tuning her skill so that her weapons are deadly, but she knows how to add an enchantment to anything. It's becoming quite a hobby of hers these days.
