KORGULE OF THE FORGE
Prophet, twenty, 8 years
History Born in Skyrim, the majority of his younger years were spent within the "safety" of the Strongholds. He grew up in Dushnikh Yal, close to the city of Markarth. He fondly considers that hold to be his home, as he loves the terrain, the scenery, and even the values of the Nords- though not in particular the Silver-Bloods- he agrees with. While he was a brute of a child, he wasn't all that violent. Of course, he'd never back down from a fight, especially if his name was on the line. But no, the older Orcs- not just his parents- noticed he had quite the knack for talking. That, and he was always entranced by the forge work that was almost always being done. "Uke feskh-ta was the Blacksmith when I was a child. He was quiet, but I didn't need to have anything explained. I was a quick learner." He apprenticed to the smith when he was ten, beginning his work mainly with hide and leather. He quickly surpassed onto iron, and then to steel. There were only two or three other young Orcs that were around his age, and they soon learned not to mess with him. He was powerful, though he wasn't outwardly so. Picking fights with him was stupid, and Korgule quickly got a respectful reputation as he grew. By his mid teens, he had just about overtaken Uke's forge; he was getting old in his age, and let Korgule do most of the work for him. When he turned seventeen Uke passed on, and the forge turned to be his responsibility. It wasn't a shocker to anyone. "I stayed the Blacksmith at that forge for four years; then I got some other sucker to learn enough to let me travel." For a good five years, until he was twenty-six, the Orc visited every single major city, every single small town, and all of the other Strongholds in Skyrim. He met all of the other Blacksmiths, even finding a few loners out in the wilderness, on their own. He ran into a few tough situations; one of the worst being a run-in with a giant. Managed to kill the beast, but his Greatsword broke during the skirmish (he ended up pummeling the giant in the head with his gauntlets until he died. Couldn't really outrun him, after all; and it was tough hanging onto a giant's shoulders). His reputation swelled by then, especially within the strongholds. Not that he particularly cared. He was more concerned about replacing his weapon. "That fight was a good one, I have to admit. I was afraid I was going to die, and that's the best adrenaline rush you'll ever get." At the end of his fifth year seeing all that Skyrim held, he finally found a break concerning his weapon problem. No steel Greatsword that he crafted- even when Eorlund allowed him to craft his own Skyforge Steel one to try out, but that didn't appease him, either. He scored lucky when he followed some bandits that tried stealing some of his ore into a cave; beat them all to death and looted their chest to see it had a decent amount of ebony and other rare ores. He returned to Dushnikh Yal and crafted his Ebony Greatsword, Korgule is probably one of the pickiest Orcs you'll ever find when it comes to his weapons. He remained at the stronghold for the majority of the nest three years, though he was known to get restless and go out on occasion, for a month or two at a time. Sometime during then was when he practiced his Enchanting the most, and about a year after obtaining the sword itself, enchanted it with the Fiery Soul Trap perk. "They can call me picky all they want. That's a d@m^ good sword right there, and nobody can deny that." Personality Korgule looks scary. He's tall, imposing, all muscles and let's face it Orcs never really look all that friendly. However, despite all of that, if one were able to just make eye contact, they'd find that this Blacksmith is actually friendly. Even talkative! Rare for an Osimer, Korgule hold no prejudice over race, openly conversing with just about anyone that approaches. He's a little gruff, his humor sometimes a bit mean, but he doesn't mean any of it, really. Just let it roll off the shoulder and shrug it off. He won't get offended if you don't think he's being funny, just tell him and he'll cut the crap. As a matter of fact, the only real way to get on his nerves is to not speak up. If you're absolutely terrified of forges, and you want to talk to him elsewhere, tell him. If you can't stand to look into his face because his teeth creep you out, ask him to turn around. He'll probably do it. He'll pick on you for it, but he'll do it. If you just shut up and stand there as white as a sheet and refuse to say anything, he'll think you're an idiot and send you on your way. If you degrade him just because he's an Orc, call him dumb or something otherwise ignorant, he'll pull out that black Greatsword of his and ask you to repeat yourself; with the tip pressed against your throat. He knows his race doesn't like speech, but the others do. He doesn't care what side of the war you're on, if you're a thief, a Guard, an Assassin; Khajiit or Redguard, Bosmer or Dunmer; treat him like filth, he'll treat you like filth. And if you piss him off too much, you'll get a sword cracking open your skull. Backstab him, and you'll wake up with molten steel covering your whole body. He can get cruel, by the way. That's the Orc in him. Hence the warning about the twisted sense of humor. Regardless, however, Korgule is okay with you if you're okay with him. Give him the benefit of the doubt and you'll do the same, and hey, you might even find you like his company. He tells good stories, after all (though we advise children to stay away, he likes to curse). | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-radius: 0px 0px 20px 20px;] Character Name. Korgule of the Forge Age. Twenty-nine Race. Osimer (Orc) Sexuality. Hetero Faction, Army, or Allegiance. Orc Strongholds Occupation. Blacksmith Werewolf or Vampire. N/A Major Skills. Smithing -- Korgule isn't called "of the Forge" for no reason. His prowess is certainly in the crafting of weapons, and with years of experience behind him, he's become famous among the Orcs for his craft. His expertise is easily in heavy armors, though the lighter armor and weaponry is still decent. Two-Handed -- When Korgule goes off into the wilderness for whatever reason, he always favors his Greatsword. He switched from just a normal sword to his beast of a blade at a very young age, and has stuck to it ever since. It'll be touch to find him with any other weapon in his hands. Enchanting -- Not only is he a Blacksmith, the Orc is very skilled at putting just that extra bit of 'oomph' into your gear. Any sort of perk you can think of, he can imbue into a blade, or a piece of armor. Whether it be for lockpicking, sneaking, archery, or an extra bit of health or stamina, he can do it. Granted he has enough soul gems on hand, of course. And you have enough coin. Heavy Armor -- There's always that extra ounce of comfort when you wear a thick layer of steel, dwarvish, ebony or even daedric armor on your back. It's always relaxed the Blacksmith, especially with the Dark Brotherhood starting to kick up; and nobody ever likes orcs, right? He's not small by any sorts, and his strength has only increased for shouldering so much extra weight. Speech -- An extremely odd trait for an Osimer to have, Korgule has found that, as a Blacksmith, he has to talk to a lot of different people. Most other races are reluctant to speak to Orcs, and he's one of the few that regularly leave the stronghold on his own whim. He's known to visit other Forges, most frequently seen in Whiterun to visit the Skyforge. But this Osimer has a certain level of charisma that he's managed to perfect, making him an easy person to approach. So long as his weapon isn't drawn, of course. Weapons, Armor, and Belongings. Ebony Greatsword of Fiery Soul Trap -- When his original Greatsword broke, it took Korgule forever to find anything that he felt suited his needs. He eventually stumbled across some Ebony ore, and this sword was the first Ebony anything he'd ever crafted. A few years later, he decided to enchant the blade, and has sworn by it ever since. He even named it ("Dark Sapper"), but that's a different story altogether. Necklace of Conditioning -- A rather simple silver chain that increases his stamina, allowing him to not only carry more, but travel farther. Which, considering the armor he uses to travel, is extremely helpful. Ring of Major Smithing -- Another simple silver ring that never leaves his hand, he's found that it's helped in his craft greatly, and wears it almost with pride. |
