HISTORY

Astrid's life started out somewhat normal, with her early years having nothing much to tell about, or so she says. Her journey to her current life started with her uncle. Her uncle started to make unwanted sexual advanced toward her when she was just a young teenage woman. Very...very unwanted. Astrid rejected him many times, but to no avail, as he just seemed to try harder, his mind corrupted.

Her family wouldn't believe her when she tried to tell them what was happening, and so Astrid took things into her own hands. Because she felt she needed to do something, Astrid came up with a plan to kill him. After all, she couldn't seem to escape these advances, and so the next step in the harsh life of Skyrim was to eliminate your problem with whatever means necessary.

She told her uncle that she would give him what he wanted if he would come to a secluded area late one night, and of course, being the man that he was, he eagerly jumped at the option, thinking that she had finally 'come to her senses' and wanted his attention. Things didn't work out quite as he had hoped, fortunately for her. Astrid had nothing more than a dagger she had stolen off her brother. She lay in waiting for him. When he did come, she...disposed of him, letting his body lay where she had killed him. It was then she learned her 'aptitude for elimination'.

And so she did it again. And again. Eventually the Dark Brotherhood contacted her, and she willingly joined the 'family'. Astrid has been there ever since. Over the years, she met her husband Arnbjorn, a previous Companion and Nord werewolf. She was attracted to him at first because of the power he had, and they married. Though she does love him, though perhaps in her own way, Astrid tends to not claim him first off to people that join the Dark Brotherhood, as a way to say that she doesn't play favorites. She quickly rose in power with her cunning and prowess, and now enjoys being the leader of the Dark Brotherhood.



Heartless - Astrid is cold, she knows it and welcomes it. The reason she has such an aptitude for elimination makes her even colder. She doesn't give a damn about most of human society beyond her own little 'family' in the Dark Brotherhood. She doesn't really give a damn about much, and couldn't care less about the war that rages on around Skyrim. She will kill anyone outside of her own family and not think twice about it. The exception is her 'family' of the Dark Brotherhood, especially her husband, who she loves deeply.

Cunning - Astrid relies on her own cunning much of the time in her life. Whatever she does, she usually doesn't let anyone, unless in the Brotherhood, know what she's doing, and sometimes not even then. To say that she doesn't trust them...well she does trust her family, she just doesn't trust the devil inside of them. And Cicero...well, she'd trust him as far as he could go without cackling.

Sexual - She's not so sexual in the form of actually showing off or purposefully using her body to her advantage, nothing like that. Astrid simply knows her own appeal, sexuality, and has an air of confidence that breathes that she has an appeal this way. Fortunately for her husband, she only has eyes for him.

Power-Hungry - Despite the power she has, Astrid does have a hunger for power, and this can be seen in that she doesn't like to be questioned by anyone. She's extremely attracted to power itself, which is one reason she was originally attracted to her husband.

Confident - There's nothing about Astrid that is self-doubt in any form. She's completely confident in herself, her abilities as a leader, and her prowess in battle, and shows it in everything she does. The way she acts, talks, walks, even breathes. Along with this, can be stubbornness, as she doesn't like to take orders from anyone else and often stubbornly sticks to any decision she makes.
