SIRI THE DARING
Taiya, 18, nearly 5 years
PERSONALITY Daring - Everything about Siri speaks of her daring nature. No mater what the situation, she is normally audaciously bold, and doesn't mind taking risks. In fact, she's somewhat of what you might call an 'adrenaline junky', and likes having thrills in life. Adventurous - Siri has always loved adventure. From the time she was young, going to play 'war' with the neighborhood boys, or learning everything she can about the wilds in Skyrim, if it's new, she'll try it. She loves change and thirsts for new situations in her life. Tomboyish - Despite her mother's best attempts at getting her to be a proper lady, Siri has combated all of these efforts. She hates frilly things, dresses, tea parties and the like. Instead, she's always thought of herself as more of a boy than a girl, and still finds it hard to do any of the feminine things her mother wishes for her to do. Cunning - Despite growing up in a good family, Siri has always shown signs of the cunning nature beneath. She finds it easy to get people to do things she wants with trickery or being sly. Though she also has honor and doesn't just go around tricking people at all times, if the situation arises and calls for this, she can easily turn on this charm. Witty - Always one for humor, Siri has a good sense of humor and can quickly come up with quips as comebacks when someone says something. Sometimes this can border - or cross the line - of being sarcastic, especially when around her older brother. Impulsive - Siri is often caught up in such a whirlwind of thrills that she doesn't seem to notice if a situation is bad or could get her into trouble. For that reason, she's very impulsive and gets herself into situations that she really doesn't want to be in. Fortunately for her, she's also good at getting back out of such situations. Confident - Always growing up around a lot of boys, Siri has been rubbed off on in terms of 'ego'. She's extremely confident in her own abilities, to the point of egotism. But what's there not to be confident in when you're as kick butt as her? Quick tempered/hotheaded - Nords have never been known for their control of a temper, and Siri is just the same. She has a quick temper and can get quite upset quite easily. Usually this flares up whenever her brother makes comments about setting her up with one of his guard buddies. Sassy/Speaks her mind - Along with her sharp wit and sarcasm, comes a lively way of speaking, and is almost always full of this zeal for living and a spirit that cannot be tamed. Siri has no trouble at all speaking her mind, and often says exactly what she's thinking, even if it's not always the nicest thing to say. She has an opinion after all, and everyone's entitled to that opinion. HISTORY Siri was born without much out of the normal, the middle child of three in a poor, yet loving household. The first seven years in her family life dealt with her brother, who had been a sickly child for as long as she could remember. During those years Siri sort of 'stepped in' as the 'son' of the family, and didn't much care for the girly things in life. In fact, until she was a young teenager, in mentality she was more of a boy than a girl. When Fjoldir healed and took his place as the firstborn son and started learning the trade of their father, a sort of rivalry started in her mind, even if it didn't have any merit. Always having been an outspoken and adventurous child, Siri couldn't stand the play of girls her own age. As far as she was concerned, tea parties, dresses, and marriage were the stupidest things you could possibly desire. Despite the best efforts of her mother for her to become a lady, Siri bucked and fought dresses, ruffles, and pretty hair styles. Instead she preferred to run wild around Helgen, often in the company of the boys instead of any girls. In such, Siri grew in her tomboyish nature, and could hold her own with most of the boys in many areas. She was just as fast, could spit just as far, and could wrestle plenty of them down and onto the ground in their play fights. The one thing she attempted to avoid like the plague was the family business of blacksmithing. Unfortunately for her, she was 'forced' to learn some of the trade, and can mange if she must. However, her training only consisted of less than a year off and on - with Siri rathering exploring the surrounding area and often 'forgetting' her duties of lessons on the forge. Not only does she dislike the forge, she actually despises everything to do with it. She doesn't mind getting dirty, and was often the child that got into mud fights, but something about standing in front of the hot forge, beating at different ore's while staring at a flame was no dream of hers. Shocking, eh? Instead Siri spent all the time she possibly could out in the wilds, learning the land, the plants, the animals. There was a family of Wood Elves in the area near Helgen, and the daughter trained Siri to be extremely proficient at the use of a bow. Siri eagerly took to that training, along with alchemy and hunting. Years later, her family moved from Helgen to Whiterun. Siri didn't mind the move at all. She had always thirsted for adventure, and loves change. So despite leaving her friends behind, she looked forward to new surroundings, with new people and places to explore and meet. Not only that, but they got further away from the influence of the Imperials, which was fine in her book, as she's always had a fierce pride in her Nordic heritage. It was about that time that bandits attempted to steal and destroy the property of her family. Alongside her brother and father, Siri took up her bow and defended their property. It was during this day that she earned the second portion of her name, 'the daring'. Bandits attempted to take their mother. Being quite the distance away, there was no time for her father or brother to get close enough to rescue her. And so Siri, without thinking of the possible consequences, took aim with her bow and shot the bandit out of the saddle that was dragging off their mother, doing so without so much as a scratch to her mother. Though she won't admit it to anyone, the moment after she shot that arrow, she was quite a mess emotionally, thinking of what else could have happened. Fortunately for their family, what could have happened did not, and she was dubbed 'Siri the Daring.' She takes pride in her name, though it also serves as a warning to her. When Ulfric killed the high king and started the rebellion, a call for arms swept through Skyrim. Always having been angry at the oppression forced upon them by the Thalmor, a fierce pride for her heritage, and a thirst for adventure that went beyond the hold of Whiterun, Siri left to join the Stormcloak rebellion eagerly. While her family remains in Whiterun, Siri now is content to be able to have that adventure and excitement she always dreamed of as a young woman. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-radius: 0px 0px 20px 20px;] Character Name. Siri the Daring Age. 23 - 17th of Sun's Dusk Race. Nord Sexuality. Heterosexual Faction, Army, or Allegiance. Stormcloak Occupation. Stormcloak Soldier Werewolf or Vampire. N/A Major Skills. Archery - As a master with the bow, Siri has trained her entire life to become the best that she can be. She prides herself in her ability with a bow and rarely relies on any other weapon if she can. Some may laugh at what she brags of her abilities, but she can deliver whatever she says she can. Alchemy - Siri has always been an adventuresome girl, with a desire to learn about everything she can. Plants and the various uses has always appealed to her, and so over the years she's gained the ability to mix and match ingredients to create potions and the like. Speech - Always one with a sharp wit and an easy way with people, Siri can talk her way out of most situations, and finds it easy to converse with One Handed - Despite her prowess with a bow, obviously one has to be able to fight up close and personal. Siri is no different. Despite always resorting to her bow if able, she is able to wield a one handed sword with agility, and keeps a dagger on her person as well. Sneak - Always growing up with a keen eye and swift feet, Siri acts less like the normal Nord in lumbering power and more surefooted as the less powerful races. She's always walked quietly, and finds sneaking around easy in her older years. Smithing - Ahhh smithing. Despite this being her family's trade, Siri has always despised the forge. Unfortunately for her, she thought she must learn this trade as well for her family. Even though she hated every minute of it, she did become alright in this trade, though now that she doesn't have to, she rarely - as in never - uses this skill. Why anyone would willingly sit in front of a hot forge beating at some ore for hours when they could be out in the wilderness exploring is beyond her. Due to her lack of use in this area, Siri does not claim any longer to be any good at it. If she must craft something though, she can work her way around a forge. Usually she just pays someone else to do it though, since she's much more willing to part with some septims than do something she despises so much. Weapons, Armor, and Belongings. Ebony Bow - With a family full of blacksmiths, she was crafted a very nicely made bow from her father. She keeps this on her at all times, and is highly skilled in its use. Ebony Dagger and sword - Once again, she has a finely crafted ebony dagger made by her father as a match with her bow, along with a one handed ebony sword. This collection is what she wields when going into battle as a stormcloak. Stormcloak armor - Perhaps always sporting your Stormcloak armor isn't the wisest choice, but Siri doesn't always go the wisest route. No, she sports her stormcloak armor proudly. |
