It was time for another hunt. Aela snuck out of Jorrvaskr easily enough since most of her fellow companions were sleeping. Vilkas was still awake and practicing his swordplay out in the yard luckily she was able to avoid him as well. There was no real reason to sneak out as nobody really was restricted to the mead hall at any hour of the day or night but when Aela wanted to hunt alone it was easier to avoid curious questions of where she was going or what she was up to. Once she was out of sight of Jorrvaskr she casually walked out of Whiterun and then followed the road that lead to Windhelm. There was a forest in that direction that promised Aela a good hunt indeed.

As Aela walked along the road she came up to some ruins called Valthiem Towers. As she approached the ruins there didn’t seem to be anything out of place but then a bandit spotted her from near the front door to the towers and rushed at Aela with her weapon drawn. As quick as the wind Aela brought out her bow and readied and arrow. She waited until the right time and then let the arrow fly. The bandit didn’t even see it before the arrow head pierced her forehead. [green]”That’s one down.”[/green] Aela muttered to herself. Just then a arrow hit the road next to her and that brought Aela’s attention to the bridge that connected the tower on her side of the river to the tower on the opposite side.

So there were others that wanted to challenge the Huntress? That was fine with her. Aela raised her bow up in the direction of the bandit on the bridge and let fly with another arrow. This one caught the bandit in the shoulder but he didn’t go down. [green]Well, it looks like this one is a bit tougher.[/green] Aela thought as another arrow came down on her just missing her head. Alright, it seemed they wanted to play rough. Well Aela was more than happy to oblige them. She ran to the entrance to the tower and went inside. There she threw her bow and quiver to the ground and brought her hands to the sides of her head.

She grunted and groaned as the buckles on her armor burst and her armor fell off her body. Then she let out a scream that was rather out of place coming from a human. Her body started getting larger. Her legs and arms cracked and twisted as they elongated and contorted into new shapes. Her fingers grew longer and her fingertips became long, sharp claws. Her face became warped and her mouth and nose extended outward. Her teeth grew larger and sharper. Finall her entire body was covered in dark fur and a tail grew out from her lower back. When her transformation into a werewolf was complete she let out a deep howl. And charged up the stairs to the bridge.

When she got up there she caught site of the bandit who was shooting at her. She let out a loud roar and charged at him and pounced on him, pinning him to the ground and then savagely clawed at him, killing him. Just as she got back on her hind legs she felt the sting of an arrow hit her back. She turned and looked up. At the top of the tower was another archer. Aela charged up the wooden walkway up to the archers perch and ran at him. The archer drew his sword but he wasn’t fast enough. Aela grabbed him by his throat and roared right in his face before throwing him off the tower. From her high vantage point she spotted a few more bandits on the other tower so Aela ran back down to the bridge and then across it.

In a messy, gory affair Aela mutilated the other bandits in several morbid and gruesome ways and afterwards she made her way back to the entrance where she left her armor. She waited for her bloodlust to subside and when it did she returned to her human form. Aela put her armor back on and made her way back to Jorrvaskr as the sun broke over the horizon.

No problems here, of course!
