Staring at the body she had just slain, Carcette rested her warhammer over her shoulder and stared around the rest of the room, as if waiting for yet another vampire to come crawling out of the woodwork. Almost instantly her lips curled back to reveal clean white teeth at the thought, before she turned to look at the small group that was with her. Out of the three that were there, two of them were from the vigil with her, while one was a member of the faction of Dawnguards. A girl she had quickly figured out was handy with her own weapon, and seemed to be a good addition to the small group that they were by. “We’re getting near.”, she mentioned finally, seeing her two vigil members instantly start to nod, already used to her leadership. “I can feel it.” Carcette could feel the nearness, just like she said. And behind that, deeply hidden was a hatred that burned deep within her.
She had long thought she had buried those feelings, but as the hunt was on, she yet again realized that they were not. Instead, she felt a deep satisfaction to feel yet more vampires fall by her warhammer. Always she felt a sense of satisfaction that she could destroy some of the undesirables of this world. There seemed to be many, as if rabbits cropping up to be cut down by the fox. As one would fall, another was quick to take its place. Repulsive. Simply repulsive. And though she knew that she would never get her family back from their slaughter at the hands of the Volkihar clan of vampires, she felt as if she was getting a step closer to their redemption and avenging.
With a flicker of her wrist to tell them to continue on, Carcette turned on her heel and continued down through the ruins. They had to be getting closer to the end by now…nearly at the end. She could feel it, a deep anticipation burning in the pit of her stomach. The same feeling had made itself prominent many times in the past, and yet this was intensified. Finally. Was she going to learn the way to rid Skyrim of these filthy beasts finally?
On light feet, Carcette’s eyes instantly settled on more vampires once she had set foot in the next room. With the group of two vigil members and one dawnguard behind her, Carcette flipped her warhammer from off her back. Sidestepping a bolt of magic that would have otherwise slammed her back, Carcette couldn’t help the twist of a smirk on her lips. Whirling quickly, she slammed her warhammer down at the vampire that had attacked her, catching the beast on the shoulder, she watched as it pitched forward. Reversing her body, Carcette flipped all the way around and sent the vampire reeling back with a well-aimed hit to its face. Watching it slam back and into a wall, its face bloody, Carcette quickly sprinted the last few steps toward it. It was with no mercy that she battered the body of the vampire that she had slammed back, anger fueling her prowess.

Hopping down from the rock she was perched on. Placing her bow on her back and continued towards the things she had shot at. Removing her arrows from them, keeping the ones that were reusable and shoving the broken ones back in the corpse. While doing so, she checked the bodies for some type of gold. Only finding a ring and a single gold piece, she continued after the Vigil members.
The only reason why she was even here was to help kill vampires. It was her job anyways. Helping those in need only if they involved killing vampires. Rosette smirked to herself looking at the corpses. They deserved to be dead. “Good.” she called out to the woman who seemed to be the leader of the small vigil group. Slowly catching up to the group, her eyes would wonder. Looking for traps, enemies, treasure or anything she needed kill, or could be sold.
Rosette’s body filled with joy as they entered a room with vampires. Where the vigil member had side stepped, Rosette had crouched just below the ray of magic. Equipping her bow once again. She pulled a Nordic arrow from her back quiver and pulled back her left hand. Being left handed never had its perks. She drew back, aimed for a vampire and released. The arrow flew through the towards the vampire but and shot through the shoulder. Not dead yet of course. She pulled another arrow out and nocked it. Aiming once more she released it and it hit the same vampire. This time in the heart. Killing it.
Nocking another arrow to take aim, her aim took place on a male vampire, a melee one. He looked much like her father but knew it wasn’t him. It was impossible for that vampire to be her father for she had already killed him. He was one of them. Those walking corpse’s took her parents away and felt no remorse for it… Skyrim had to be rid of these disgusting things.
She released the arrow. She had originally been aiming for the chest but the vampire ducked to avoid another attack and the arrow shot through what looked to be his eye. If it was true, It would explain why the vampire fell over shortly after.
When she was selected to help with this mission, she couldn’t help but feel honored and disgusted. Honored to kill vampires but disgusted to find one. But she had a plan. The vampire they were looking for, well if they do exist, She will make sure it doesn’t leave here alive. We don’t need another vampire running around in the world.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; background-color: #171818; padding:20px; border-top: 10px #171818 solid; border-bottom: 10px #171818 solid;] Do your memories haunt your Dreams {WORDS } 667 {TAGGED } Rosette and Serana {WEARING} Robes Despite the vampire falling quickly after the warhammer attacking its face, Carcette could easily see that it had yet to die. With the vampire having fallen to the ground and now trying to get up, she mercilessly lifted her boot and brought it down toward the beast. The moment she did it must have given into its beastly urges, and even sunk its teeth into her boot. Carcette wasn’t worried about it reaching her though, and directly after she kicked down angrily, catching it in the chest and knocking it back to the ground. “May Stendarr have mercy on you.”, she muttered out in anger, before she swung her warhammer once more. Giving it a full arc for more momentum, she finally ended her swing by having it hit the skull of the vampire that had been fighting her moments before. With that, it crumpled up on the floor and made no other move, aside from one last spasm of death.
Without sparing it another thought, Carcette easily sidestepped when another vampire attacked her from the side. When it stumbled a bit – trying to readjust to its target moving – Carcette twisted and once more set out after the vampire with her warhammer in tow. It was with a confident ease that she slammed it into the pit of its stomach, hurling it back. Sprinting the few more feet toward it, Carcette followed that up by cutting her hammer up and having her iron end directly slam underneath the chin of the vampire that had decided to try and attack her. With a mangled facial structure, it took its last screeching breath and finally slumped down.
That being done, Carcette hefted her warhammer upwards a bit and peered around her, ready to take on the next undesirable that would attempt to slaughter her. What she was met with was the three others standing still, the vampire bodies littering the area around them. With a nod to show that she was impressed at their work, she stepped over one mangled body and started to search around her. Yes, may Stendarr have mercy.
It didn’t take her long to get a direction in mind, and she gestured once more to show where they were to go. After having been crawling around in these ruins for quite some time, Carcette was still feeling as if the end had to be just around the corner. Yet that was dulled by her senses being attuned to the possibility of yet another attack. Any small sound could be a warning, and she wasn’t ready to sacrifice her life to the blood lusting beasts that infested Skyrim yet.
Their voyage quickly led to a place that instantly stilled her movement until she had stopped at wonder at the scene before her. It seemed as if the only sound she could hear was that of her own breathing while she took in the odd structure that was built in a circle around a pedestal. “Be careful.”, she cautioned once she had gotten over her initial shock at the sight. Looking over her shoulder, the experienced Vigil leader took in each of the younger companions she had with her, before nodding to them. “We’re going to explore that, but keep an eye out too, for more of the beasts.”
